Exhibits

We have several permanent exhibits as well as special exhibitions on display at the Seminole Nation Museum. From the artifacts to modern art and sculpture, they all come together to tell the story of our history.

Seminole Nation Exhibit

This 2,400-square-foot exhibit showcases the history and culture of the Seminole people. It reaches back to the early days in the everglades of Florida to the pursuit of home and their independence as a nation.

Margaret Jane Norman Gallery

This gallery is named for the original curator and cofounder, Margaret Jane Norman. You will find hundreds of paintings, sculptures, bronzes, and sketches here. It is also a space for traveling exhibitions and educational events.

Wewoka Community Exhibit

As one of the oldest communities in Oklahoma, Wewoka is rich in history and culture. When you visit the Seminole Nation Museum’s Wewoka Exhibit, you have a glimpse into historical events and the daily lives of the people there.

Major General Franklin A. Nicols Military Exhibit

Dedicated in honor of one of Wewoka’s favorite sons, the Major General Franklin A. Nichols Military Exhibition honors those area men and women that have served their country honorably since the First World War.

Special Exhibits

The museum has special exhibitions throughout the year, including the Alumni Art Show showcases, which are held each June in conjunction with the Wewoka High School Reunion.
