The Seminole Nation Museum is excited to host Creative Aging programs for older adults from February to May. These sessions aim to inspire creativity, build connections, and celebrate Seminole County’s rich culture.
Artful Living offers opportunities to engage in artistic and cultural activities with health and wellness benefits. Classes include traditional arts like beadwork and basket weaving, as well as various Native American art forms celebrating Indigenous heritage.
Classes will be held at the Seminole Nation Museum and the Wewoka Senior Citizen’s Center, featuring activities such as painting, woodworking, patchwork, and more! Skilled instructors ensure an enjoyable and inclusive experience for all.
This initiative is made possible through a grant from the Oklahoma Arts Council, National Endowment for the Arts, and the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust, emphasizing the value of arts in enhancing quality of life and making cultural opportunities accessible.
Tentatively scheduled from February through May, updates and registration details will be shared on the Seminole Nation Museum’s website and social media platforms.
Older adults and their families are invited to participate in this enriching initiative. Whether learning a new skill or enjoying the creative process, there’s something for everyone. Visit our website for more details and experience the joy of creative aging!
