The Seminole Nation Museum is greatly appreciative of the Oklahoma Department of Libraries for awarding the Seminole Nation Museum a grant through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The funds are bringing new technologies, furniture, and equipment to our facility during the pandemic. This grant allows the Museum to provide funds to continue to ensure the safety of our staff and visitors.
Pictured here is museum intern CJ Stone whose salary is being funded in part by the ARPA grant. She is seen here removing artifacts from their cases to do a deep cleaning and sanitization of the area. Stone is also working to digitize and catalog the Museum’s collection of over 9000 historic photographs.
This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
